Our approach to recruitment
As a B Corp, we are committed to ensuring all of our processes are as equitable as possible. This is why we operate a blind recruitment approach, which allows us to assess each candidate on their skills, removing unconscious bias as much as possible. It is because of this we do not ask for CVs or personal information in the first stages of the process. Job description and day-to-day responsibilities
·Media relations: Confidently conduct journalist outreach via phone and email for earned content. Support account manager and SAE’s to drive pitch strategies. Oversee the creation of full and accurate media lists. Independently seek out relevant feature opportunities without any major support from account managers.
·Content writing: Independently deliver strong written content with support from your account manager and senior account executives.
·Reporting: Coverage monitoring and client notifications. Responsible for collating media coverage and deliverables, contributing to monthly reports for your senior account executives/account managers.
·Social media: Responsible for execution of and monitoring social media plans. Responsible for ensuring social media plans are delivered to a high standard with little input from management.
·Client liaison: Support client team in preparation for update meetings with the client.
·New business: Participate in team creative ideations for new business.
·Strategy: Support with data collection, desk research and identifying key events and awards and idea generation.
·Sector knowledge: Responsible for building sector knowledge through daily trade reading and attending trade events across all client sectors.
·B Corp: Responsible for driving internal B Corp specialist area. 24 hours volunteering during work time to a chosen charity.

What you will learn in this role
·People management: Senior account executives are given the opportunity to build their people management skills gradually through helping to support junior team members with their day-to-day account activities.
·Individual specialism: Each Rumpus employee is assigned both a sector and service focus to grow their knowledge in. For this particular role we are looking for an individual who will be focused on social media – paid and organic.
·Client relations: This role will involve upskilling in client relations, which includes supporting account managers with client facing tasks such as leading meetings and day-to-day client communications.
·B Corp: We expect all employees to be involved with our B Corp journey, growing their expertise in key elements of B Corp. This involves assigning specialist areas such as charity & fundraising, sustainability, equity, diversity & inclusion and mental health and wellbeing, to each team member.
How you will grow at Rumpus
We believe in equipping our team members with the right skills to grow in their career at Rumpus. All employees are provided with a structured personal development plan based on SMART objectives. This is aligned to the goal of a pay rise or promotion.
From senior account executive level, we would look to progress the individual to account manager or to grow them as an individual specialist in a service.
Requirements

·Experience working in PR, either in-house or agency.
·Experience in delivering social content plans for business.

·Experience in the following sectors: Built environment, tech/fintech, cleaning and hygiene.
