The Technical placement role:Our Technical Student Placement aligns with our Technical strategy is to grow our talented team as we seek to attract, train and develop future leaders within the food industry. Therefore the placement role provides a hands on opportunity for any student looking to gain a thorough insight into the Technical team during their 12 month job rotation.Main duties:Technical Student Placement is a hands on year taking on all aspects of Technical function within Cranswick. It comprises of a wide variety of tasks such as:Daily, weekly, monthly QA checks monitoring food safetyProduct quality checks across our range of fresh and added value food productsHACCP validation and verificationMonitoring legal and customer compliance with our retailer and food service customersHandling and overseeing customer complaints which includes liaising with internal and external teamsMonitoring and reporting on business critical KPIsThe student will also be given their own live business project to deliver during their placement year.What are the requirements welooking for?The student must be studying a relevant food related subject (food science, food safety, food technology, food business management) to apply for the working placementA minimum of a 2:1 forecast for the end of year twoWe require a student looking for a 1 year placement, who has the ability to work proactively and flexibly.Key relationships that a placement would work in collaboration with:Technical and QA, Operations, Hygiene, MaintenanceAdditional Information:The Technical Placement role has itown varied responsibilities as well as being part of a wider fast paced team and working environment. You will gain understanding how an FMCG business operates, with additional focus on how the technical department plays its crucial role within our business.If the placement has a successful year within the Technical function, we are always keen to consider routes back into full time employment following completion of their degree programme.
