Tyne North Training is a specialist apprenticeship training business who prides itself on delivering high quality apprenticeships for over 50 years. The business successfully recruits and manages the training and preparation to End Point Assessment of advanced apprentices across a variety of job roles within the engineering and manufacturing sectors, along with business administration roles within professional functions such as HR, administration, finance, sales and marketing.
We are recruiting a time served Maintenance/Technical Training Officer to work with apprentices and their employers within the sector. This role will have overall responsibility for directing and overseeing training but could also include the actual delivery of training.
High quality apprentice training and mentoring is critical for our continued success and maintaining our excellent reputation with engineering and manufacturing companies, apprentices and external governing bodies such as Education & Skills Funding Agency and OFSTED.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background within the engineering and manufacturing sector who has worked within an OEM or subcontract environment. They will also have an understanding of the high demands of pressurised environments within the sector.
Specific responsibilities include:
* Mentoring and developing apprentices.
* Oversight of apprentices undertaking engineering qualifications and training at offsite facilities within the engineering/manufacturing sectors.
* Managing and administering Apprenticeship Standards, which includes offsite training liaison, employer engagement and apprentice progression.
* Delivering guidance and support to apprentices and employers.
* Supporting the business in initial assessment and matching of potential apprenticeship candidates to specific positions.
* Development of existing and new materials to enhance the apprenticeship experience.
As a business we actively look to recruit the best Training Officers either direct from the apprenticeship training sector or from industry as full training will be provided including assessor qualifications, if required. Ideally the right candidate will have worked within a supervisory or management capacity.
