Lead Veterinary Nurse (HVN) (Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN))
This practice is a lively, small animal practice in Weston-Super-Mare looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly and professional team. You’ll be part of an established nursing team of eight, including a mix of RVNs, SVNs, and Animal Care Assistants. We pride ourselves on our strong team dynamic, and we carefully select new members to ensure everyone enjoys working together.
They are looking for an RVN with a cool head, a patient and kind demeanour, and a genuine eagerness to learn and grow. A sense of humour is also highly valued! If you haven’t already undertaken Clinical Coach training, we encourage you to do so, and we will fully support and fund this development.
Their surgery is well-equipped, featuring nurse-led laser clinics, sevoflurane anaesthetics, digital x-ray, capnography, and an in-house laboratory. We provide all the necessary resources for our clinical team to maintain high standards of veterinary care, while also delivering exceptional customer service. Additionally, you’ll have the support of a dedicated receptionist team and an insurance administrator.
The position is full-time (40 hours/week) with no out-of-hours or on-call duties. Your rota will include one in three weekends (Saturday 9 am–5 pm, Sunday 10:30 am–4:30 pm), working alongside a second nurse, one vet, and two dedicated receptionists. We provide a fixed, predictable rota with the same day off each week, offering a great work-life balance.
