We have a new opportunity to be part of the Vehicle Performance team in the role of Vehicle Dynamics Engineer.
The role has broad responsibilities in the following areas:
1. Simulation studies for current and future car development
2. Performance analysis
3. Model correlation
4. Mechanical rig testing (R&D, K&C, 7-Post)
5. Conducting Driver In the Loop (DILSim) test programs
6. Liaison with other technical departments
The following skills & experience are required:
1. Experience within the automotive/motorsport sector
2. A proactive approach to problem solving
3. An understanding of mechanical systems
4. An understanding of data analysis techniques
5. An awareness of ground vehicle aerodynamic principles
6. Matlab and/or Python coding experience
7. Good communication skills, being able to describe problems in simple terms
Experience in the following is preferred but not essential:
1. Motorsport trackside experience
2. Data analysis software
3. Mechanical modelling in Simulink / Dymola
4. Hands-on experience of mechanical/automotive systems
The ideal candidate will possess an excellent degree in an Engineering related discipline and exhibit strong problem solving skills.
The ability to work effectively whether as part of a cross-functional team or with minimal supervision is a prerequisite.
