HR Advisor Organisation: Rotherham Council Job Type: Initial 3-month Temporary Contract Join the HR Consultancy team at Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, where we strive to provide a professional HR service that meets high customer needs and aligns with HR best practices. We are seeking an enthusiastic HR Consultant to deliver exceptional customer service across the Council's four directorates. Day-to-day of the role: Serve as the first point of contact for HR advice and guidance, maintaining high standards of customer care. Provide casework support linked to all aspects of the employee life cycle including recruitment, capability, disciplinary actions, grievances, Dignity at Work, redundancy, and retirement. Support organisational change initiatives across the Council and with partner organisations. Offer advice on the Council’s policy framework, handling matters related to maternity, paternity, and other types of absence. Generate accurate management information and data analysis to aid workforce planning. Plan and deliver learning events covering a range of HR topics. Assist in the development of HR policies and procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in a Human Resources advisory or generalist role. Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation. Ideally holding or working towards a Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualification.
