Discipline: Project Engineer (Local Only)
Location: St Helens, Liverpool
Rate of Pay: Dependant on experience £35k-£40k
Start date: Immediate
Duration: Permanent
The Role:
Due to recent major project wins, our client is currently recruiting for a Project Manager for their site based in St Helens. The role will be office-based initially and then will move onto various locations across the UK. Duties will include:
1. Working with the Design and Production teams to manage the project through to delivery.
2. Engaging in all aspects of the business including commercial and engineering elements.
3. Supporting early design concepts with Design to Manufacture.
4. Working with the manufacturing team to develop processes and oversee the project from handover to delivery.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Collaborate with design & manufacturing teams.
2. Ensure designs can be manufactured continuously.
3. Work with Planning and Production to ensure timely production with optimal processes.
4. Manage project procurement and engage with suppliers.
5. Regular reporting and follow up internally and with clients.
6. Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
7. Attend site meetings and provide information for progress reports.
8. Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
9. Control of all customer specifications, drawings, and modifications.
10. Project management.
11. Assist and maintain the quality management system to ISO9001:2015 standard.
12. Competent in reading technical drawings.
13. Competent in using Microsoft Office.
14. Future opportunities to be part of high-profile contracts in the Power Construction Industry.
15. Training to develop into a Lead Project Manager on high-value contracts.
Requirements:
1. Extensive experience as a Mechanical Site Project Manager.
2. Prior background in the heavy industrial sector.
3. CSCS card.
4. SMSTS certificate.
5. HND or equivalent in mechanical engineering/construction.
6. Excellent people management skills.
7. Ability to make quick decisions and find solutions to issues.
8. Ability to deal with complex tasks and deliver them to a set budget and timescale.
9. Ability to build relationships with clients.
10. Clear communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal.
11. Strong organisational and time-management skills.
12. Attention to detail - accurate and methodical in work.
13. Hold a full UK driving licence.
