Our client is a leading producer and supplier of transmission equipment for industry, with over 75 years' of supplying different types of gears, motors and jacks across various industries. As part of their growth strategy and subsequent restructure, they are now actively looking for a Regional Sales Manager to join their Head Office team.
The company's product range consists of Gearboxes, Couplings, Worm Gears, Screw Jacks, Industrial Gears and Complete Transmission Solutions - experience in one if not more of these areas is essential.
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for generating revenue by creating opportunities and finding new business within the Scotland region of the UK. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will identify and secure new business opportunities, maintain and manage existing customers.
Key Skills and Responsibilities
1. Developing and sustaining long-term relationships with key customers.
2. Traveling to potential and existing customers within the assigned sales area to present the company portfolio of products and services.
3. Utilising outbound telephone calls, email communications and face-to-face meetings with customers to close sales.
4. Planning, researching, and executing potential sales opportunities to drive profitable market share growth for the business.
5. Consistently delivers against set goals and targets.
Skills Needed
1. Industry knowledge is essential.
2. Strong sales track record.
3. Ability to manage own geographical area to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
4. Previous account management experience within the power transmission industry.
5. Proactive approach to drive sales forward.
6. Ability to be self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
8. Organised and planned approach to creating sales opportunities.
9. Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC Mechanical engineering standard.
10. Experience of selling to large/medium OEM accounts.
11. A dynamic, organised, results-driven individual.
12. Home-based.
13. Experience of working with a cloud-based CRM system.
14. Flexible approach to working hours.
Salary and Benefits
1. £45,000 - £50,000 basic salary plus sales incentive scheme.
2. 25 days + bank holidays.
3. Pension scheme - 4% company contribution.
