Project Quantity Surveyor - Prime Residential
We are currently seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a leading company in the luxury interior design, fit out and construction industry. With over 25 years of experience, our client has a strong reputation for delivering exceptional luxury interiors and complete turnkey operations for prime residential, retail, and commercial environments. This is an exciting opportunity to work with notable corporate clients and discerning private individuals. Our client also acts as a main contractor, overseeing the entire construction process from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
1. Assisting with the commercial aspects of high-end residential, luxury retail, hotel, and hospitality projects, including cost estimation, budget preparation, and procurement strategy.
2. Conducting cost control and financial management, monitoring project budgets, preparing periodic cost reports, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
3. Preparing tender and contract documents, ensuring completeness and accuracy in line with project requirements and specifications.
4. Evaluating and negotiating contracts and liaising with suppliers and subcontractors.
5. Providing advice on contractual claims and disputes, participating in negotiations and resolution of commercial issues.
6. Collaborating with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of commercial strategies with project goals, and to contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
Projects / Sectors:
You will have the opportunity to work on prestigious projects for discerning private individuals, world-renowned retail stores, and internationally elite private clients. This role will involve overseeing commercial aspects for high-end residential, luxury retail, hotel, and hospitality projects. Additionally, you will be involved in managing the financial aspects of prime residential, retail, and commercial construction projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to project budget and schedule.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field is preferred.
2. Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes, with the ability to interpret and apply contract terms and conditions.
3. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Proven experience in high-end residential, luxury retail, hotel, and/or hospitality projects, demonstrating proficiency in cost management and commercial aspects of construction projects.
