Job Title: General Manager (GM) - Arcade & Sports Venue
Location: Kingston (Flagship Store)
Position Type: Full-Time
Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager (GM) to lead our flagship arcade and sports venue in Kingston. The venue spans two floors and offers a fun-filled experience for both families during the day and adults in the evening. Our range of activities includes an amusement arcade, American pool tables, VR experiences, sports simulators, duck pin bowling, and crazy golf. With two bars, one kitchen, and a wide selection of food offerings such as pizza, chicken burgers, popcorn, hot dogs, and donuts, this venue is designed for a vibrant and diverse customer base.
As GM, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the site, leading a team of managers and staff, and ensuring a top-notch customer experience for all visitors. You will drive business performance and create an engaging environment that brings guests back time and time again.
Key Responsibilities:
· Leadership & Management:
o Manage and lead a team of 3 other managers and approximately 25 staff members.
o Provide guidance and support to your team, ensuring a high standard of service and operational efficiency.
o Foster a positive, enthusiastic, and customer-centric work environment.
· Operations Management:
o Oversee the operations of the arcade, sports areas, two bars, and kitchen, ensuring all areas are functioning optimally.
o Ensure high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and safety across all areas of the venue.
o Maintain stock levels, monitor inventory, and liaise with suppliers.
· Food & Beverage Management:
o Oversee the food and beverage offerings, ensuring timely and quality service to guests.
o Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure food standards are met, and assist with menu planning and pricing.
· Customer Experience:
o Ensure that the venue offers an exceptional experience for both families during the day and adults in the evening.
o Create and execute strategies to enhance guest engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty.
o Resolve customer complaints or concerns in a prompt and professional manner.
· Business Development & Sales:
o Monitor and drive venue revenue, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs).
o Support and promote events, parties, and special occasions (both kids and adults).
o Help grow brand presence and market the venue effectively within the local community.
· Cashless Operations:
o Oversee the seamless operation of a cashless payment system across the venue.
· Health, Safety & Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety, alcohol service, and customer safety in all areas.
o Carry out regular health and safety checks, including risk assessments, to minimize potential hazards.
Key Skills & Experience:
· Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior management role within a similar environment (arcade, sports venue, entertainment, or hospitality).
· Strong Food & Beverage management experience, with an understanding of kitchen and bar operations.
· Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
· Strong business acumen with experience in driving revenue and managing costs.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
· Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
· Cashless payment system experience is a plus.
· Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
