The Role
We are looking for a proactive 1st Line System Support Technician with a genuine interest in technology to join our team. Main duties and responsibilities
* Assisting with service ticket management within a ticketing system
* Categorise, prioritise, assign and respond to new tickets in line with the customer SLA
* High level checks of IT hardware and software and data integrity
* Escalate to 2nd line System Support Engineers
* Day-to-day administrative tasks
* Remotely install, configure, and maintain software and hardware components.
* Stay updated with industry trends and pursue ongoing learning
Qualifications and Mandatory Skills
* Computer literacy – a competent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
* Demonstrate use of software platforms online
* A fundamental logical approach to understanding current technology
* Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
* Interest in computers, computer science, real-time graphics, content, hardware technology and LED screens
* A proactive approach to providing support.
* Must be able to work well within a team
* Experience in customer service, whether through face-to-face interactions, telephone communication, or written correspondence
Preferred Qualifications
* IT-related coursework or a college-level GCSE in IT, Computer Science, or a similar field.
Schedule
· Monday to Friday 7:00am - 4:00 pm or 08:30 am to 5:30 pm (60-minute unpaid lunch) on a rota basis
· Weekend availability
