Personal Assistant / Carer About Employer and Job Purpose I am a 6 year old girl with complex medical needs including CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder, Epilepsy,, Global Development Delay, Wheelchair User non mobile, Severely Sight Impaired (Registered Blind), Non Verbal and am double incontinent. I am PEG fed a blended diet and administered my drug regime throughout the day. I have a VNS implant to help control my Seizures. Training will be provided. I am a sensory learner so enjoy listening to music, having stories read to me, sensory play time and listening to my family around me. I am looking for a PA who is enthusiastic and will make my days fun and meaningful with a focus on me and my needs. I need support Monday to Friday. To get me ready for School each morning and to play with me After school and work with me on my physiotherapy programme. Due to my complex medical needs training will be provided in drug administration, physiotherapy, moving and handling and any other elements required for my care. However, experience of working in this field would be preferable. Work Duties: · Personal care – including washing, dressing, changing incontinence pads. · Administer PEG feed. · Administer VNS therapy. · Sensory play including floor activities. · Arts and crafts/messy play · Physiotherapy including use of my stander and work chair. · Outdoor walking/exercise · Administer medication. · Get ready for transport to take me to School. · Assisting with leisure activities and accompanying me on family day trips · Supporting Parents with reasonable ad hoc duties that supports positive family function in the home. Supporting with · My mobility and use of hoist, ensuring my safety. · Ensuring I am safe with all activities at home or outside.
