Job Description
This position is for a Production Manager to the department, overseeing all production activities within a leading Industrial/Manufacturing firm based in Macclesfield:
1. Manage and oversee all production activities within the assembly department.
2. Maintain a clear understanding of the company’s strategic objectives.
3. Monitor productivity and implement strategies to improve efficiency.
4. Ensure all production activities align with health and safety regulations.
5. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes.
6. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
7. Develop and manage the production budget.
8. Lead, motivate, and develop the production team.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Production Manager should have:
1. A proven track record as a production manager in an industrial or FMCG manufacturing environment.
2. Experience managing a production team in an assembly environment or similar process.
3. Knowledge of electrical assembly processes would be helpful but not essential.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
5. Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations.
7. People development and the ability to up-skill your workforce is essential.
