We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Technical Solar O&M Coordinator
to join our team. The successful candidate will be overseeing the operations and maintenance of our solar energy systems. This role involves ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency of our solar installations, coordinating maintenance activities, troubleshooting technical issues, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and manage the daily operations of our solar energy systems
* Schedule and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for our solar installations
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting on solar system issues
* Track and analyse system performance data to identify areas for improvement
* Ensure compliance with regulations and standards
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system performance, and technical issues
* Manage stock and procure materials
* Ensure accurate and prompt client invoicing for chargeable items
* Provide administrative support for field technicians, including travel arrangements
* Collaborate with internal and external teams, including LV/HV personnel and subcontractors
* Mentor and train Solar O&M Engineers where required
Qualifications:
* A degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Technical Management, or a related field
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations and maintenance, preferably in the solar energy industry
* Proficiency in solar monitoring software and tools, strong understanding of solar PV systems and components
* 18th edition wiring regulations
* A City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Electrical Engineering, Installation, Testing & Inspection or similar, electrical course
* Experience in industrial, utility-scale, and/or rooftop solar is preferred
* A full UK driving licence with a maximum of 3 points
Skills:
* Strong technical proficiency in electrical and mechanical systems
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Knowledgeable in basic troubleshooting and IT support
* Experienced with data entry and familiar with various operating systems, full training will be provided
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to safety and quality standards as well as incident prevention
