Job Overview
As a Culinary Innovator (formerly known as Product Development Technologist), you will develop and refine food product formulations, ensuring our products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. You will conduct market research and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovative products to market.
Duties
* Develop and refine food product formulations to specified accounts.
* Innovate, develop, trial and launch to the set standard
* Ensure products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
* Conduct detailed market research to guide product development.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new product features.
* Write and update detailed product specifications and documentation.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues with product formulations.
* Participate in planning meetings and contribute to task estimations.
* Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in food science.
Performance measures
* Product Development Success Rate - Measure: The percentage of product formulations that pass internal quality and safety standards. Target: Aim for at least 90% of developed formulations to pass these standards.
* Time to Market - Measure: The average time taken to develop a product from concept to market launch. Target: Aim to reduce time to market by 10% annually.
* Market Research Effectiveness - Measure: Number of insights from market research that directly influence product development. Target: Incorporate at least 5 actionable insights from market research into product development each quarter.
* Sensory Evaluation Scores - Measure: Average scores from sensory evaluations and taste tests. Target: Achieve an average score of 8 out of 10 in sensory evaluations.
* Innovation Pipeline Contribution - Measure: Number of new product ideas contributed to the innovation pipeline. Target: Contribute at least 10 new product ideas to the innovation pipeline each year.
* Project Completion Rate - Measure: Percentage of projects completed on time and within budget. Target: Achieve a project completion rate of 95%.
