Job Description Vice President Finance – Global Business Services Fulltime Derby/Hybrid What you will be doing An exciting opportunity has arisen for a VP Finance – Global Business Services to join the Central Finance Head Office team, based in Derby. As VP Finance – Global Business Services, you will be an integral part of the GBS Executive team and will play a leading role in securing savings on managed service costs, optimising GBS service delivery costs and shaping/delivering the emerging global GBS strategy. This role also provides a unique opportunity to become a Director of RR International, which is a separate legal entity and involves ensuring we meet our statutory obligations. GBS supports all the Divisions and has a number of service lines including: Group Property (scope covers £17m annual operating costs, land sales £4m p/a, IFRS16 leases including Arval cars £50m and managed spend of £320m); People Services (£25m operating costs) Finance Operations (£12m operating costs); Procurement Operations ( £6m operating costs, annual indirect spend of £2bn over 1000 vendors); the R2DL Digital Services (revenue of £8m); and the Enablement & Solutions team that manage our Business Graduates, Transformation projects etc. With a strong commitment to cost transparency, we work in partnership with the Divisions to deliver efficient, effective market leading services which bring real value to the Group. Responsibilities You’ll be: An integral part of the GBS leadership team providing strategic direction and options to drive business performance. A business partner and ensure a good understanding of our financial numbers and issues exists at all levels of GBS management. Supporting the GBS teams to drive cost savings across all service lines through procurement price reduction and challenging demand increases, or via further optimisation choices. Providing cost transparency to the Divisions of GBS costs and working with the Divisional Leaders to identify further cost optimisation. Ensuring financial management of the Business to deliver financial commitments and ensuring budgets and multi-year forecasts are translated into business level plans; pro-actively work to ensure optimal performance and achievement of business targets and strategy. Managing reporting, forecasting and statutory requirements for GBS with the help of the regional Finance Managers. Acting as Director of R-R International and ensuring that its statutory requirements are enacted. Managing our outsourced provider of finance for small countries across the globe. Interpreting performance trends, supporting the generation of improvement plans and providing solutions to senior management on financial issues.
