Key Responsibilities : Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in English, in line with the national curriculum. Teach students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5 for qualified candidates. Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, ensuring that all pupils are given the support they need to succeed. Create a positive and inspiring classroom environment that encourages student participation, creativity, and critical thinking. Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN or EAL. Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work and share best teaching practices. Act as a mentor to students, providing academic support and pastoral guidance as needed. Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and wellbeing. The Ideal Candidate : A qualified teacher (PGCE or equivalent) with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). A passion for teaching English and inspiring young people. Strong subject knowledge, with the ability to teach across all Key Stages. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the schools development. A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students.
