An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our unique and friendly team.We are searching for an enthusiastic and flexible Clinical Support Worker on a 37.5-hour fixed term 12-month position. You will need to be proficient in :
• Acute phlebotomy, including group and save and cross matching, blood cultures, therapeutic levels and VBGs.
• Insertion of peripheral intravenous cannula
• Recording and obtaining of 12 lead ECG readings
• Catheterisation of male patients
• Perform Abbott Test
• Coag AU test

• Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team, supporting Junior Doctors, Phlebotomy department, out patients, wards, A&E (nights) and departments within a defined range of clinical tasks
• Work as part of the Hospital at Night accepting any duties as delegated by the Operational Practitioner/Clinical Co-ordinator on the hospital out of hours phone system attending MDT 2100hrs and 0200am
• Acute phlebotomy, including group and save and cross matching, blood cultures, therapeutic levels and VBGs
• insertion of peripheral intravenous cannula
• recording and obtaining of 12 lead ECG readings
• catheterisation of male patients
• Perform Abbott Test
• Coag AU test
• Part of the medical emergency team out of hours ( HOOH)
• Work as part of the Senior clinical Support Worker team, managing the ‘clinical support’ workload effectively within contracted hours
• Required to act as a mentor to Trainee clinical workers be required to assess junior clinical workers cannulation skills
