The Role
:
As a Structural Engineer, you will be liaising with the structural design team, advising on concepts and improvements to current projects.
You will largely be responsible for analysis
Your responsibilities will include :
1. Preparing concept design drawings, and calculations
2. Responsible for Technical Calculations, Simulations and Analysis such as: Beam Load, Foundations, Structural, Stress, bending moments and Materials
3. Attending customer meetings in the UK and overseas
4. Interpreting and working from customer requirements, specifications and drawings
5. Perform detailed engineering calculations using both software or hand calculations – These include: Structural, fluid dynamic, finite element analysis, and general mechanics
6. Support project management, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams
7. Assist in producing user manuals/instructions.
8. Conduct site surveys, condition assessments, and produce technical reports and recommendations.
9. Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
10. Research and development to maintain market leadership.
What we’re looking for in a Structural Engineer :
11. Substantial experience in mechanical design
12. Experience in structural analysis using Autodesk Robot or a similar analysis package
13. Familiar with ASCE and Eurocodes
14. Good understanding of fabricated structures/components and manufacturing techniques.
15. Pressure Vessel Design experience and familiarity with relevant international codes/standards.
16. Design experience in air handling/filtration systems, heat exchangers, and acoustical calculations.
17. Ability to interpret/create piping and instrumentation diagrams.

18. Competitive salary package - £40k - £55K Depending on experience. More qualified candidates would be welcome to apply, and a more competitive salary would be discussed if additional experience can be brought to the role.
