Consultant in Emergency Medicine - PERM - East Midlands
Triple West Medical are currently seeking an experienced Consultant in Emergency Medicine for a substantive role with a well-known NHS Trust based in the East Midlands.
The Trust has over 10,000 staff offering a comprehensive range of acute and community services over a number of sites to over 1 million people. You will have excellent clinical skills and the ability to lead on the shop floor, being active in the teaching and supervision of all multi-disciplinary staff.

They are looking for applicants who will contribute towards this and help to drive the development of modern emergency care in the local health community.
The Emergency Department at the site currently sees in excess of 150,000 attendances per year and you will join a team of over 25 consultants with a flexible approach to job planning to support service requirements.
Day to day, you will contribute to the consultant clinical rota. You will be expected to demonstrate leadership across the multi-professional team and support education and training of the many learners in the department, as well as contributing to quality improvement and audit. All consultants will be GCP certified and actively support recruitment to research studies.
Non-shop floor duties are integral to the successful running of a large department. There are numerous opportunities to be part of the various groups comprising the leadership and governance structure of ED and contribute to governance, education, research, and continuous improvement.
The post holder must have:
1. Full GMC registration
2. Eligible to be included on the Specialist Register within 6 months of interview date
3. CCT/CESR in Emergency Medicine or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview (if trainee) OR if CESR, evidence that application has been approved by RCEM and they are only waiting for their specialist registration to be added by the GMC
4. Provider status at ALS, ATLS and either PALS or APLS
5. High level of clinical experience and competence in Emergency Medicine and must have FRCEM
