You will be a part of the Operations Team, providing operational support to the Underwriting Teams and ensuring the delivery of high-quality client service. Your responsibilities will include taking ownership of operational functions, completing core operations tasks accurately, and supporting the achievement of internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Turnaround Times (TATs). This role reports directly to the Operations Team Leader. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong working relationships with Operations and underwriting teams, keeping them regularly updated on relevant issues. Quality check all booking instructions received from the Underwriting Teams, ensuring adherence to minimum requirements and reporting and addressing any quality measures. Complete core Underwriting Assistant tasks, including bookings, policy documents, and endorsements, with a high level of accuracy. Update the Workview system in real-time, aligning with Operations SLAs to provide accurate representation of operational performance to senior management. Proactively engage with Underwriting Teams to obtain timely instructions on outstanding renewals and achieve premium registration targets. Assist in processing allocated new business, renewals, and endorsements in accordance with service standards. Consult with internal departments and participate in meetings within Operations to ensure efficient practices and identify process improvements. Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with other functions within the organization. Support projects and testing as required and promote adherence to best practices. Support the Business with the adoption of any system and/or process changes. Provide training to fellow Underwriting Assistants. Work within the ethical and service standards framework of Chubb. Qualifications Knowledge & Experience: Previous experience in an underwriting support role will be highly regarded. Minimum of GCSE qualifications, preferably A-levels or equivalent. Competency in Microsoft Office. Good understanding of insurance terminology and concepts. Strong diligence and accuracy. Excellent communication and people skills. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple tasks. Initiative-taking and independent worker. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of underwriting systems and processes will be beneficial. Willingness to learn and adapt to changes in the industry.
