Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Clinical Managers within Children and Young People Specialist Services, part of CNTW Specialist Care Clinical Business Unit. We are seeking experienced, highly motivated, and skilled individuals to provide leadership as Clinical Managers across our inpatient and community pathway. The post holders will need to be flexible in their approach to supporting the day-to-day clinical operational management across our services, alongside effective communication and decision-making skills. Our Specialist Community Teams comprise Children's Eating Disorder Services (CEDS), Intensive Positive Behaviour Support Team (IPBS), Complex Neurodevelopmental Service (CNDS), National Specialist Adolescent Mood Service (NSAMS), Forensic Children & Mental Health Service (FCAMHS), Inreach Services based within Aycliffe Secure Centre, and Kyloe House Secure Children's Home.
The post holder will work closely with the CBU and support the ongoing developments within the North East Children's Specialist Inpatient Services.
The successful applicant will be supported fully by the management team in relation to their personal and professional development in this role and specific areas of their responsibility.
Main Duties of the Job
The post holders will provide clinical leadership across our Ferndene, based in Prudhoe, and Lotus Ward at Acklam Road Hospital, Middlesbrough. Both services provide assessment and treatment for children and young people between the ages of 13 to 18 who experience complex mental health issues and require more intensive support via inpatient treatment. In addition, the post holder will also provide clinical leadership across our Specialist Community Children Services, which are based across a number of sites across CNTW. The successful candidates will also be required to attend both internal and external meetings.

Person Specification
Education and Qualification
Essential
1. Professional qualifications such as: RMN, BSc, OT, Psychology, Social Worker.
2. Evidence of continuous professional development.
3. Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
Desirable
1. Recognised teaching qualification.
2. Educated to master’s level.
3. Participation in international research initiatives. Evidence of published work.
4. Experience of the use of information systems to support service delivery.
5. Experience of research and audit at national, regional, and local level.
6. Registered Non-Medical Prescriber.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
1. Recognised management qualification or equivalent experience.
2. Extensive specialist knowledge of and experience in the specialty.
3. Minimum two years' experience in a Senior Nursing post.
4. Up-to-date knowledge of contemporary nursing (current trends in care delivery and therapeutic interventions).
Desirable
1. Recognised teaching qualification.
2. Educated to master’s level.
3. Participation in international research initiatives.
4. Registered Non-Medical Prescriber.
Skills and Competencies
Essential
1. Experience of involving service users/carers/other professionals in evaluation/planning of services.
2. Knowledge of research methodologies and principles of audit.
