We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as Head of Geography, to lead our Geography department and inspire both students and staff. The Role: We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head of Geography who can lead our department with vision and enthusiasm. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in teaching Geography, alongside strong leadership and management skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and enhance the geography curriculum and contribute to the ongoing success of our school. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the geography department, including curriculum development and implementation. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that supports student achievement and progress. Provide leadership and support to the geography teaching team, including mentoring and professional development. Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing strategies to raise attainment and address any areas for improvement. Collaborate with other departments to integrate Geography into cross-curricular projects and initiatives. Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the overall development of the school. Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with developments in Geography education. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Degree in Geography or a related subject. Significant experience teaching Geography at secondary level, with a strong track record of success. Proven leadership and management experience within a school setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for Geography and a commitment to fostering student achievement. Desirable: Experience in leading departmental change and innovation. Ability to inspire and engage students and staff alike.
