Are you passionate about empowering children with the skills they need to succeed? We are seeking dedicated and experienced tutors to provide 1:1 support in Functional Skills Maths and English (Levels 1-3). You'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact, working with local councils to support children approved for additional tuition.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver tailored tutoring sessions in Maths and English Functional Skills.
Teach children 1:1 in their home, school, or a local library.
Provide engaging lessons, adapting to the individual needs of each child, including those with special educational needs.
Conduct sessions in various settings, including the child's home, school, or local library.
Support children with special educational needs, creating an inclusive learning environment.
Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents, schools, or councils.
Maintain professionalism and adhere to safeguarding procedures, including completing an enhanced DBS check.
Collaborate effectively with parents, guardians, schools, and council representatives to achieve learning goals.
What We're Looking For
A minimum of 1 year of teaching experience.
Experience teaching Functional Skills Maths and English (Level 1-3).
A teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE, or equivalent (highly desirable).
Experience working with children with special needs (highly desirable).
Right to work in the UK.
Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
