Shaw healthcare is looking for a Catering Assistant to join the team at Deerswood Lodge. You will join a team that is fully committed to making a difference to the lives of those who we provide care for. You will work under the direction of the Chef to work together as a Catering Team to ensure that delicious home cooked meals are prepared and services to the Residents
Duties Include
1. Assist chef with food preparation
2. Independently prepare hot meals/sandwiches for residents
3. Load and unload dishwasher, wash up equipment unsuitable for dishwasher
4. Clean kitchen and equipment
5. Collect and distribute crockery from/to the care floors
6. Clear tea trolleys where applicable
7. Empty kitchen rubbish and keep areas clear of refuse
8. Maintain a clean and hygienic environment
9. Carry out reasonable requests, as instructed by the Senior Chef/Chef
10. Ensure that the nutritional needs of residents are met
11. Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Policy and Regulations
