About the role? You will champion community wealth-building initiatives to retain prosperity within local areas and oversee project delivery, from procurement to completion, working with internal teams and external suppliers and contractors. You will be involved in delivering key projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Engaging with stakeholders, businesses, and residents will be a key part of the role, helping to build strong partnerships and ensure successful outcomes. You will also support the administration and monitoring of Council grant funding programmes and provide expert advice on commercial and tourism-related planning applications. This is a new role which will cover the Forest of Dean. Within the District, there are plenty of places to see and visit whether you love hiking or cycling. You are a proactive and dedicated individual with a degree in a relevant field or five years of project management experience You have strong experience working collaboratively with teams and stakeholders at all levels You can manage complex projects, budgets, and deadlines with resilience and confidence, being confident in related software. You have a track record of improving services and developing initiatives to meet community needs. Special Conditions? You will be expected to work reasonable additional hours in line with the needs of the service. There may be a requirement to work at other locations to meet the needs of the business.
