Job summary
Working closely with our Executive Medical Director, we are seeking an innovative clinical leader for this role to join our existing Deputy Medical Director.
The Deputy Medical Director will have one of two corporate portfolios as agreed with the Medical Director to reflect their experience and aspiration.
You will work with the other Executive Directors and their deputies to deliver the relevant areas of the portfolio.
In addition, it is expected that the postholder will deliver clinical work in their specialty area. This will be discussed with the successful candidate and the relevant specialty.

Job responsibilities
The Deputy Medical Directors (DMDs) will support the Executive Medical Director to deliver effective clinical care, people experience and quality improvement in the Trust and in partnership with other health and social care providers in our district Bradford District and Craven and beyond. Effective working with the other Deputy Directors, members of the Executive Team, corporate and divisional teams will be important and, in all aspects of leadership and care for patients, the Deputy Medical Director will personally demonstrate and role model our Trust values and behaviours.
The DMD will have significant experience in leading senior teams and will possess leadership ability to deal with complex issues, proactively leading on solutions and action plans in support of both the Chief Executive, Executive Medical Director and other members of the Executive Team in the delivery of corporate objectives and performance targets

Medically Qualified with current GMC registration and Licence to Practice ?Significant experience as a Senior Clinician. ?Recent experience of working in a senior clinical leadership role within a Trust. ?Significant local contribution to the transformation of NHS services and improvement. ?Partnership working and credibility at a senior level, including significant workforce and service transformation
