IDS is a leading in-vitro diagnostic solution provider to the clinical laboratory market. We develop, manufacture and market innovative immunoassays and automated immunoanalyser technologies to provide improved diagnostic outcomes for patients.
IDS Boldon is the global IDS Headquarters occupying a single, multi-disciplined site.
The site focuses on the manufacture and distribution of manual Immunoassay products. On site Purchasing, Logistics, Production, Quality Control and Process Development departments manage the supply chain, supported by local Sales Support, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs and Finance departments. As Group Headquarters, IDS Boldon also houses all head office functions.

In this role, you will support the organisation and planning of smooth, cost-effective production operations, ensuring goods and materials are available in line with demand and quality standards. Principal Accountabilities:
* Manage all aspects of workload planning for multiple products, including forecasting, purchasing, scheduling, and expediting to meet production demands. Plan and prioritise operations to maximise performance and minimise delays, ensuring smooth production flow.
* Determine the manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to fulfill production requirements efficiently.
* Monitor production progress, ensuring jobs are completed on time, and proactively address any issues to minimise disruptions.
* Accurately record and manage production data to support KPIs, operational analysis, and decision-making.
* Enter and maintain records for manufactured items, Bills of Materials, and costing to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
* Monitor stock levels, including identifying material types (hazardous, flammable, etc.), managing storage requirements, and overseeing cycle counts, waste, and expiring materials.
* Conduct waste and variance analysis to ensure efficient stock management and minimise losses.
* Maintain the stock management system and assist with global queries, including supporting trials of new procedures.
* Prepare and provide detailed reports and data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Key Contributions:
* Propose production workload plans to optimise efficiency and resource use.
* Request the manufacture of new products as required by production demands.
* Assist in gathering and providing information for product reviews and project support initiatives.
Qualifications:
* ‘A’ levels or equivalent in Mathematics and IT.
* Must be willing to complete the required educational training in the field of Planning.
Skills & Knowledge:
* Strong planning and organisational skills to manage workload effectively.
* Excellent administrative abilities, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
* Analytical mindset.
