Across infrastructure, there’s a need not only to maintain but also to renew and reimagine. Whatever your career stage, we offer opportunities to grow and develop. Our focus is on delivering essential infrastructure services for life, prioritizing safety, customer satisfaction, and a respectful, friendly environment where you can thrive.
Where will you be working?
At M Group Energy, we enable the energy that supports our lives. We provide end-to-end solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering, and home decarbonisation.
This role is within our Metering team, the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, offering efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity, and water meters.
Our meter readers install, maintain, and manage meters to ensure accurate billing and monitor energy usage patterns.
What will you be doing?
You will investigate, detect, and prevent gas and electricity theft in residential and commercial properties. You’ll ensure installations are safe and collaborate with suppliers on further actions, collecting evidence and providing information to clients for decision-making.
You may be involved in debt recovery work, including installing SMART meters or de-energising/disconnecting supplies.
If you pride yourself on customer service, professionalism, and integrity, this role suits you. The ability to remain calm in confrontational situations is essential. Previous experience as a Revenue Protection Officer or in conflict management is useful but not required; a positive, proactive, solution-oriented mindset is key. Non-technical or single fuel joiners will be upskilled by the company to become qualified dual fuel engineers, with full training provided.
