Role Responsibilities
* Preparing accurate and timely VAT returns
* Completing bank reconciliations
* Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers
* Taking accounts confidently up to trial balance
* Communicating effectively with HMRC
* Responding professionally and promptly to client queries
* Travelling to and working from client premises when required

Candidate Requirements
* Ideally AAT qualified (or working towards it)
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a bookkeeping role
* Strong working knowledge of Sage 50
* Good understanding of VAT rules and how to apply them
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
* Knowledge of Xero is a bonus
