When working as a Cardiac Radiographer, you will undertake imaging procedures within your area of specialty. You will maintain a high standard of work and strive for continual improvements in radiographic standards and patient care. This includes manipulating and maneuvering radiographic equipment and patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images within the department's protocols and procedures.
When working as a Senior Cardiac Catheter Lab Nurse, you will work within a clinical team to deliver a specialist service, based on principles that are research-based and which enhance the quality of patient care. You will develop the skills to assess and interpret specialist information and conditions, taking appropriate action. This role involves undertaking clinical procedures that require dexterity and accuracy, including scrubbing for the full range of cardiac procedures in the Cardiac Catheter Lab, including complex procedures such as structural cardiac interventions and ablation.
When working as a Cardiac Physiologist, you will have in-depth knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system and the full range of interventional equipment in use. You must be highly competent in ECG application and able to recognize and report on a wide range of abnormalities on ECG, intra-cardiac pressure waves/shunts, valve gradients, and cardiac output if necessary. Additionally, you will provide technical support for coronary interventional and structural interventional procedures.
