The role...
Our people team has an exciting opportunity to recruit for a new dedicated People Manager on a permanent basis. The key purpose of this position is to act as a junior business partner supporting our Corporate services division. You will collaborate with the People Business Partners in the implementation and delivery of strategic people plans and priorities for the division.
Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Advisor to leaders and managers
o Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to deliver successful business outcomes.
o Act as critical friend and challenge the status quo.
o Advise on ITV policy and process.
o Support the implementation of a Diversity and Inclusion strategy.
o Collaborate with HR Ops and Services, other HR colleagues, and centres of excellence to ensure a comprehensive, seamless and efficient HR service.
o Ensure that new/amended policies, procedures and toolkits are effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders.
2. Problem Solving and resolution
o Work with client groups and Business Partners to find solutions to problems.
o Understand the business area priorities and contribute to people plans aligned to our More than TV Strategy and our People Strategy.
3. Organisational Design
o Deliver and support the implementation of OD for the division.
o Support changes and restructures as required.
4. Projects and change
o Support delivery of projects and act as an advocate for change.
5. Employee Relations
o Guide, support and advise line managers through everyday HR situations.
o Advise and support on long term and short term sickness absence.
o Manage occupational health referrals.
o Advise and support managers on probation management, capability, and performance management.
o Management of grievances and complaints.
6. Risk & Compliance
o Identify operational risk within the division.
o Ensure effective implementation and compliance with our People policies.
7. Data
o Take accountability for People data for business areas and use insights to influence decisions as needed.
8. Continuous Improvement
o Contribute to the People function's quality and continuous improvement.
Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)
* Proven HR generalist experience, preferably in a fast paced, high profile organisation.
* Demonstrable experience in identifying and resolving employee relations risks and issues.
* Good working knowledge and understanding of UK Employment law and HR best practice initiatives.
* Experience in working within a HR operating model utilising Centres of Excellence.
* Experience of providing a proactive HR service and meeting deadlines.
* Some experience of delivering operational HR in a matrix environment.
