About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Interim Assistant Headteacher to join the school's Senior Leadership Team. This role will involve working closely with the Headteacher to lead the school strategically and ensure the highest standards of education and care for pupils.
This is a full-time interim role available immediately and will run until March 2026, with the potential for extension. The pay rate is negotiable, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Strategy: Support the Headteacher in shaping the school's vision and driving improvement.
* Teaching & Learning: Oversee curriculum development to ensure it meets the diverse needs of the pupils.
* Staff Development: Lead and mentor staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and collaboration.
* Pupil Progress & Well-being: Monitor and assess pupil progress, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.
* Safeguarding & Behaviour: Act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or Deputy DSL, ensuring robust safeguarding procedures are followed.
* Parent & Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to support pupils' holistic development.
Who We're Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in a leadership role.
* Strong background in SEMH or SEND education.
* Proven experience in school improvement and curriculum development.
* A nurturing and therapeutic approach to supporting pupils with complex needs.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
