Job Summary: Venue: O2 Academy Birmingham Company: Academy Music Group Location: Birmingham Reports to: Bar manager Working Hours: Fixed Term Contract, 1 year – Full Time Role The assistant bar manager is responsible for O2 Academy Birmingham’s multiple bars (three rooms) with the primary focus in this role being cellars, storerooms, stock control procedures and delivery procedures, and supporting our team to ensure our bars our executed to the highest standard across a wide variety of live shows and events. About you Experience in cellar management in the hospitality or live events industry Understanding of health and safety regulations Proficiency in stock management Experience in delivery shifts Competent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Knowledge of relevant licencing laws Experience in bar supervision or management. What you’ll be doing Maintaining clean and tidy cellar and storeroom areas Oversee cellar management during shifts and live events Stock movement and rotation in the cellar, storerooms and bars Supervision of incoming deliveries Stock Management, Ordering and regular stocktakes. Weekly and monthly stock counts as directed by the bars department Cleaning lines and changing barrels Staff training in maintaining cellar equipment Produce maintenance schedules and repair requirements Report malfunctions of services Contribute to improvements in processes for maximum cellar efficiency Supervision of casual staff Duty Management of Live Events. Highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene across all bar and cellar operations Financial Reporting Cash Management Bars and Cellar Maintenance and repair and service organisation.
