The Role
As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of high-value multinational accounts across key industries. The role is predominantly account management, ensuring existing clients receive expert support while identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell. Additionally, a portion of your time will be focused on developing new business, expanding market presence, and fostering relationships with potential customers.
Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Account Management – Maintain and develop relationships with large, multi-national clients, ensuring continued satisfaction and identifying areas for growth.
✔️ New Business Development – Proactively seek out and secure new opportunities within target industries to expand the company’s footprint.
✔️ Customer Visits & Site Meetings – Conduct regular client visits to provide technical support and strengthen relationships.
✔️ Technical Consultation – Work closely with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products and solutions.
✔️ Trade Shows & Conferences – Represent the company at major industry events to enhance brand visibility and network with key decision-makers.
✔️ Sales Strategy & Forecasting – Contribute to sales planning, pipeline management, and revenue forecasting to ensure consistent business growth.
✔️ Collaboration with Internal Teams – Liaise with engineering, product development, and customer service teams to deliver seamless solutions to clients.
Candidate Requirements:
✅ Mechanical Engineering qualification (Degree,HNC/HND/BTEC, or equivalent).
✅ Strong technical knowledge of sealing technology, fluid control systems, rotating equipment, or a related industrial product portfolio.
✅ Proven sales experience – Demonstrable success in sales and account management within Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Food, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, or similar industries.
✅ Commercial acumen – Ability to identify opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals effectively.
✅ Excellent communication skills – Confident in presenting solutions and building relationships at all levels.
✅ Willingness to travel – This is a field-based role covering the UK South with regular client visits and occasional international travel.
