I'm working with a leading business operating across the Island of Ireland who are looking to recruit to their experienced finance" About the Job Reporting to the Head of FP&A the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties Assist FP&A management in the timely submission and preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Ensure that all financial projections align with business goals and objectives.
Prepare detailed cashflow forecasts to support effective cash management.
Monitor actual performance against forecasts, identifying and addressing variances.
Manage financials for projects, ensuring accurate allocation of costs to Work in Progress (WIP).
Track and analyse gross margin, ensuring appropriate adjustments are made where necessary.
Provide regular reports on project performance, identifying any financial discrepancies and offering solutions.
Monitor revenue recognition for projects, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Ensure accurate cost accruals are recorded in relation to ongoing projects.
Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring all figures are accurate and timely.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all financial data is aligned with business performance.
Consolidation of Group Financials Support the consolidation of group financials, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all reporting entities.
Assist with intercompany eliminations and adjustments as necessary.
Work closely with FP&A management to identify opportunities for improving financial reporting.
Support the development and implementation of enhanced reporting processes and tools to ensure better visibility into financial performance.
Previous experience Hold an Accounts Technician Qualification or currently studying your ATI (Desirable) or Part Qual ACCA/CIMA or QBE Proven experience in an FP&A, Cost Accounting, Commercial Finance or similar role; ideally in the Construction industry.
Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
