We are seeking a compassionate, resilient and highly motivated Sexual Misconduct Adviser (Prevention & Support) to join our Student Services team at AUB. This role is focused on supporting students who have been affected by sexual misconduct, harassment, or domestic abuse. You will play a crucial role in raising awareness, providing student and staff training, and managing student casework to ensure that student needs are managed appropriately. Your primary responsibilities will include managing a caseload of students who require support, providing expert advice and support, and ensuring timely and appropriate actions are taken. You will also be involved in designing and delivering training sessions and awareness programmes aimed at preventing unacceptable behaviours and supporting AUB's commitment to a safe and inclusive environment. Additionally, you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Student Services colleagues, police, AUBSU, and specialist community support services, to ensure a holistic approach to student welfare. This role requires a compassionate trauma-informed approach, with a strong commitment to supporting student wellbeing and fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity across the AUB community. You should hold a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification, with demonstrable experience in relevant case management, networking, and collaborative working with diverse stakeholders. Experience in training, as well as supporting individuals in a similar setting, is essential. You must have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with students and staff whilst maintaining professional boundaries. This position involves working with children (under-18s) / vulnerable people and therefore requires compliance with the University's Safeguarding Policies, including the requirement for enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance prior to the commencement of employment.
