Working as a Deputy Manager for our people-focused company, you will motivate and inspire your team to provide only the highest levels of service to every customer. As a representative of this growing brand, you will be friendly, positive, approachable, and able to confidently lead and inspire a team to achieve store KPIs.
With experience in food retail or other fast-paced retail environments, you will be career-driven and prepared to immerse yourself in the company culture and ethos.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
* Mandarin or Cantonese speaker (essential)
* A confident and natural leader able to coach, develop, and motivate to build a high-performing team
* A strong work ethic, able to work at pace and eager to work in a demanding environment where you are rewarded for your hard work
* Experience working in an environment focused on speed without compromising service (essential)
* Current supervisory, team leadership, or management experience and looking for career progression
* A can-do attitude, confident, passionate about people and achieving individually and as a team
* Punctual, reliable, and willing to go the extra mile; you will thrive on hitting targets and love the buzz of a large retail store
* Articulate, with strong communication skills and able to demonstrate a track record of achieving targets
* A passion for customer experience and delivering retail excellence
DEPUTY MANAGER: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Managing, coaching, and developing a diverse team, from recruitment to induction and beyond
* When necessary, following staff disciplinary procedures
* Ensuring all staff are multi-skilled/tasked to complete a range of duties across the store
* Ensuring all staff have knowledge of products and services within the whole store
* Assisting the management team in managing the performance of self and others within agreed limits, including setting performance standards and maximizing resources
* Completing team appraisals within agreed time limits
* Managing a business that is viewed as ‘best in class’, maximizing sales at every opportunity and maintaining extremely high standards
* Understanding customers, anticipating their needs, and setting exceptional standards of service
* Ensuring staffing levels are adequate to meet customer expectations across the whole store
* Identifying business levers and proactively assisting the Area Manager to keep track of the competition so that the business can respond to change
* Managing stock availability and waste
* Driving customer service standards to achieve sales and exceed customer satisfaction targets
* Identifying potential, managing staff development, and supporting staff to achieve their potential
Please note: this role will require an initial training period of 3 months to be spent at the Tottenham location, for which travel costs will be covered.
