Location: Newry Role: Utilities Engineer (Senior Electrical Engineer) Salary: £45,000 Shifts: Days Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm I’m currently working with a well-known Manufacturer based in Newry. They are looking for a Utilities Engineer to support a multi-disciplined team to optimise company assets in a cost-effective manner. Main Duties: Regulatory and audit requirements associated with the Utilities Maintenance department are met. Management of 3rd party contractors. Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are current, technically correct, and up to date for engineering and maintenance activities. Manage and provide leadership to the department to ensure that site Utilities and systems are maintained to the highest standards. Ownership of KPI’s and reporting metrics for Utility assets. Ensure that maintenance schedules are met and that all work carried out has been documented. Ensure performance of team workmanship standards are met to agreed standards. Any other duties as deemed necessary by management. Essential Criteria: Qualified in an electrical, electronic or mechanical or relevant discipline (City & Guilds, BTEC or Degree). Minimum of 5 years post apprenticeship experience or 2 years post graduate experience. Demonstrate experience leading teams, coordination, planning and execution of work. Continuous improvement mindset, embraces change and creates a sense of urgency to deliver change. Strong computer skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office with the ability to generate reports. Desirable Criteria: 3rd level qualification in related technical discipline. IOSH or NEBOSH qualified or working towards. 5 years supervisory or technical leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
