We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Operations Manager on behalf of a school committed to improving student behaviour and outcomes. This is a key role aimed at supporting a positive school environment where discipline and respect are central values. This is a permanent, full-time position beginning ASAP.
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining administrative systems and procedures to meet the Academy's requirements. You will oversee HR, ICT, community usage, catering, administration, and operational support while liaising with regional and national service departments.
The role will focus on ensuring the smooth operation of non-teaching activities, maintaining high standards of organisation, and supporting the Academy's goals of fostering an exceptional educational environment. You will play an essential part in managing teams, improving operational efficiencies, and ensuring compliance with policies and safeguarding requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage administrative staff to ensure efficient support for Academy functions.
Act as the Academy liaison with regional and national services for HR, finance, ICT, and property management.
Oversee recruitment processes, payroll entries, and staff absences.
Manage compliance, including maintaining the Single Central Record and risk assessments.
Support the Principal and Senior Leadership Team with operational and administrative matters.
Key Requirements:
Educated to 'A' level standard or equivalent, with GCSE Maths & English (Grade C or above).
Proven experience in managing teams and operational services, ideally within a school environment.
High-level computer and administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of educational databases such as Bromcom.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and work under pressure.
