Wood is recruiting a Project Engineer to support the delivery of engineering excellence in their assigned project on a permanent staff role.
Hybrid working - 3 days working from Glasgow office and Aberdeen office for meetings as requested.
Responsibilities
The Role
Supports delivery of engineering excellence in their assigned project(s) through coordination of discipline engineering deliverables, with guidance.
* Coordinates activities performed by engineers and designers to support timely issuance of engineering deliverables meeting project specifications.
* Develops understanding of relevant engineering and HSES procedures and standards.
* Alerts senior project engineering personnel of potential delays or changes; supports implementation of approved changes.

Key responsibilities
* Coordinates discipline input to deliverables like Process/Utility Flow Diagrams, Line Lists, Equipment Lists, etc.
* Coordinates engineering discipline inputs within the team/project environment.
* Develops basic knowledge of engineering standards and procedures.
* Understands HSES standards, procedures, and work practices.
* Plans work activities, manages time, and liaises to ensure timely feedback.
* Follows project manhour budgets and schedules.
* Reports progress issues and facilitates resolution.
* Supports implementation of changes and participates in design reviews.
* Coordinates work of small technical teams.
* Maintains effective communication with all relevant parties, including clients and project teams.
* Supports documentation for project definition, SOW, and RFQ generation.
Qualifications

Expected:
* Formal project management training (PMP or APM preferred).
* Extensive experience with brownfield modifications for UK/North Sea assets.
* Experience as a discipline engineer or in junior project engineering roles.
* Understanding of technical scope, key dates, and milestones.
* Familiarity with project contractual and commercial requirements.
* Knowledge of engineering standards, procedures, and project execution flow.
* Ability to lead small teams with minimal intervention.
