Job Description Waking Night Support Worker Location: City of Doncaster Council Salary: £27,259 - £29,955 pro rata 17.5% all-inclusive allowance Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time (21 hours/week) DBS Disclosure: Enhanced required Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with disabilities and complex care needs? Join our team as a Waking Night Support Worker in Doncaster's Children's Residential Homes. In this role, you will: Provide a safe, caring, and supportive environment for children during the night Support with housekeeping tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and paperwork Monitor and discreetly oversee the children's safety during the night Collaborate with other staff and liaise with external agencies when necessary Be flexible to cover shifts for other night care officers What we're looking for: Good communication and basic IT skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to undertake training (including QCF Level 3 and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention) Must be able to work nights, including weekends and occasional overtime What we offer: Competitive salary 17.5% allowance for unsocial hours South Yorkshire Pension Authority contributions Overtime paid at time and a quarter Opportunity for additional shifts and training
