Role: Fixed Assets and Leases Manager Location: Blackburn, BB1 2FA Hours: Full-Time / Permanent Salary: Up to £50,000 (Depending on experience) Bonus Scheme: Bonus Incentive Company: EG On The Move We are on the lookout for an experienced and fully qualified Fixed Assets and IFRS 16 Leases Manager to join our dynamic finance team.

Directly reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take the reins in managing and accounting for fixed assets and leases, playing a key part in driving operational excellence and compliance across the business.
As a Fixed Assets and IFRS 16 Leases Manager, youll be at the forefront of maintaining a highly accurate fixed asset register, ensuring all assets are properly recorded, valued, and reported.
You will also ensure full compliance with the latest IFRS 16 lease standards, a critical area for the company's financial integrity.
You will work closely with senior leadership and various stakeholders, offering valuable insights and expertise to drive better decision-making and cost management across EG On The Move.
What youll be doing: Manage the asset register, ensuring accurate recording of acquisitions, disposals, and transfers Prepare and enforce compliance with IFRS/GAAP accounting policies Oversee asset capitalisation and categorisation Review monthly and annual reconciliations and ensure accurate depreciation calculations Adjust asset depreciation schedules based on usage, conditions, or policy changes Overseeing and implementing PO processes, including providing training to business stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations Generate and analyse detailed capital expenditure (capex) reports, offering valuable insights to management and stakeholders for ROI assessments and site appraisals.
Collaborate with the FP&A team on budgeting for fixed assets and leases, while supporting external advisor requests related to capital allowances and R&D claims Develop internal controls to protect assets and ensure financial reporting accuracy Support audits by providing accurate asset data and documentation Identify and classify leases under IFRS 16 (finance vs.
operating leases) Manage the lease database, ensuring accurate lease details and payment schedules Oversee accounting for leasehold and subleases in line with IFRS 16 Work with third parties to integrate a Sub Leasing tool into M D365 Maintain lease amortisation schedules and ensure accurate expense recognition Prepare and analyse reports on leased assets, including journal entries and lease liability reconciliations Collaborate with the Property Team to ensure lease agreements meet IFRS 16 requirements Provide training and support to finance and operations teams on lease accounting practices This list is not comprehensive and may be updated or expanded as needed.

At least 2 years in a managerial role is preferred Strong understanding of IFRS 16 lease standards and their practical application in a corporate setting, along with knowledge of other IFRS standards and GAAP Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., D365, SAP, or other ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and focus on accurate financial reporting Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders Proven leadership and teamwork abilities, with experience managing teams and collaborating across functions Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Be a part of it: As EG On the Move grows, were excited to welcome talented individuals to our team.
