Our client, a growing manufacturer based in Paisley, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their team. This is a permanent role working dayshift with possible backshift involvement. The company prides itself on putting staff at the heart of all they do.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
Lead and manage production teams, providing training, coaching, and performance management.
Implement and maintain Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to optimise workflow and reduce waste.
Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as needed to meet deadlines.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Analyse production data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Work closely with maintenance teams to minimise downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
Collaborate with other departments, including quality control, logistics, and procurement, to drive operational success.
Manage stock levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with suppliers as needed.
Drive a culture of teamwork, accountability, and staff development.
Experience Required:
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Production Manager or Production Supervisor role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset with a track record of implementing efficiency improvements.
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and lean manufacturing principles.
