Teaching Personnel are working alongside a futher education SEMH provision based in Stockton. You will be supporting students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities to develop their communication, independence and employability skills to make a successful transition.
The ideal Candidate should have the relevant experience and must be passionate when caring for others and is confident when managing challenging behaviours
Duties and responsibilities
Provide support under the direction and supervision of teaching staff to assist pupils to access the curriculum and participate fully in school activities
Participate in planning and evaluation of learning activities with the teacher, providing feedback to the teacher on pupil progress
Support the teacher in behaviour management and keeping pupils on task based on the expectations for individual pupils
Provide support for pupils with challenging behaviour taking account of support plans and risk assessments under the direct supervision of a teacher
A successful candidate must provide the following
Must hold an enhanced DBS registered with the update service
Patient and Reliable
Experience working with people with SEN / Disabilities
Be confident supporting children and young people
Worked as a Care / Support worker
Trained in Moving and Handling
This role is available after the Easter break and required until the end of the academic year with the potential of being extended. Due to the role being required on a long term basis, we are able to negotiate your daily rate on your behalf, starting from £85 per day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
