Job summary We are a friendly, forward-thinking GP Practice based in Rushall, Walsall, West Midlands. We now have an exciting opportunity for a conscientious, friendly and hardworking business administrator to join our practice team. The successful applicant will be a key member of our very busy practice team. This post would suit a newly qualified graduate. The successful candidate will need excellent communication skills, be highly organised, have a positive attitude and enjoy working as part of a team. You will be committed to putting patient care first and share our values and our passion for delivering quality care. Experience of working in the healthcare sector is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. The hours of work will be full-time at 37.5 hours a week (Monday to Friday) working four longer days and having one non-working day during the week. Main duties of the job The postholder will assist the practice management team with data analysis, claim management and IT issues. The postholder will assist in the management of the practice website and other IT systems pertinent to running the practice. The postholder will offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice including the provision of clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team Facilitate effective communication between patients, members the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies About us We are a team of over 40 staff including 5 GP partners, 3 salaried GPs, 3 Pharmacists, 4 Practice Nurses, 6 Healthcare Assistants and team of administration staff. We also have a number of ARRS staff working at the practice including Paramedics, Physiotherapists, Social Prescribers, Pharmacy Technicians and a Mental Health Practitioner. We are also a training practice and train GP registrar's in addition to medical students from Aston University. We have large, modern, purpose-built premises including staff and patient parking. The practice is on a main bus route from Walsall Town Centre. We have a list size of approximately 15,000 patients with many of our patients being on the list for a number of years.
