Exciting Opportunity – Behaviour Mentor
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support primary school students, helping them develop self-regulation skills, resilience, and confidence. This is a rewarding role where you’ll work closely with students who need additional guidance to engage with their learning and thrive in a school environment.
The Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will provide tailored support to individual students and small groups, helping them manage their emotions, develop coping strategies, and build positive relationships. Working collaboratively with teachers, the SENDCo, and pastoral staff, you will play a key role in fostering a structured, nurturing, and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural, social, and emotional difficulties.
Implement behaviour management strategies to promote self-regulation.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students and act as a positive role model.
Assist teachers in developing personalised support plans and interventions.
Help students build social skills, confidence, and resilience.
Support students in class to engage with learning and follow routines.
