What's the role and what will you be doing?
Working as part of the Pensions Administration Department in providing the provision of pensioner payroll services to deliver an efficient and effective service to LCP clients and their members as a member of the Payroll team.
Some of the key tasks and responsibilities for the position are as follows:
1. Ensuring pensioners are paid accurately and on time, in accordance with legislation and organisational timetables;
2. Prepare and manage the pensioner payroll process for client payrolls in line with procedures.
3. To be responsible for a portfolio of payrolls to process from start to finish.
4. Ensure payroll changes are recorded correctly on the work management system and processed according to agreed procedures.
5. Reconciliation of payroll costs and changes against Pensions Admin System.
6. Ensuring PAYE for pension schemes is paid within deadlines.
7. Production and distribution of P60s (including online P60s).
8. Ensure payments to pensioners, HMRC & 3rd party bodies are made on a timely basis and within agreed controls.
9. Answer queries from pensioners, colleagues, partners & clients and 3rd party bodies accurately and timely.
10. Ensure compliance with agreed payroll deadlines and escalate any payrolls that are falling behind deadlines.
11. Support Payroll Team on payroll matters.
12. Maintain payroll and ancillary systems.
13. Provide assistance with ad-hoc payroll projects such as setting up payrolls for new clients and managing transitions to other payroll systems (exits).
14. Advise and assist Client Teams on payroll matters.
15. To issue payslips to pensioners timely ensuring these are sent to the confirmed up to date address. Check and load online payslips onto the client website.

1. Experience of Payroll, preferably Pensioner but not essential.
2. Reconciliation of payroll, essential.
