Role: Support Worker
Here at Cartrefi Cymru we support adults with learning disabilities and vulnerable adults in the community to live a fulfilled and enriched life. We provide social care all over Wales and the support we provide is person centred and ensures choice and control.

Location: Haverfordwest
Hours: We have both full and part time hours available between 10 to 40 hours per week. Talk to us about the hours you are looking to do. This is a mix of day shifts and sleep ins.
Salary: £12.74 per hour and our sleep-in shifts at £60 per night. If you use your own vehicle to attend training for example, we cover mileage at 45p per mile
Contract: Permanent

What you’ll be doing:
In this role you’ll be supporting the people we support to access the community. You’ll encourage them to make their own choices about everyday things such as what to wear, what to do, what to eat, as well as bigger decisions such as where to live, how to spend their money or where to go on holiday. You’ll enable them to be able to fulfil those choices, including structured activities to develop their confidence and skills.

Who we're looking for:
No experience is required, full training provided, and we’d love to hear from you if you:
• have patience and empathy
• can support a person with their care with respect and dignity
• have strong communication and teamwork skills
• are able to speak on behalf of others as well as to a range of professional people
• have good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning
You’ll also have a UK drivers’ licence. The ability to drive and access to your own transportation is essential for this role.
