Senior Engineer (Gaming) Senior Engineer (Gaming) Remote Working 6 months (initially) c£450 per day (Outside IR35) The Opportunity: We are on the lookout for a talented Senior Gaming Engineer to join an innovative digital project at the cutting edge of interactive development. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting, creative and technically challenging initiative for a leading central government client, so if you're passionate about game development and thrive in collaborative, Agile environments, we'd love to hear from you Skills and Experience: Strong, hands-on experience with Unreal Engine or Godot in a commercial environment. Solid understanding of web technologies and responsive front-end development. Background in working in Agile teams, including active participation in ceremonies. Knowledge of application performance optimisation and tuning best practices. Familiarity with security remediation and a focus on secure coding standards. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote-first setup. Role and Responsibilities: Develop and enhance features and functionality using game engines such as Godot or Unreal Engine. Collaborate with cross-functional teams by actively participating in Agile ceremonies and project planning sessions. Provide accurate time estimates for the delivery of features within sprint cycles. Implement responsive, mobile-friendly web layouts to ensure a consistent user experience across all devices. Carry out performance tuning of applications and databases based on testing feedback. Address and remediate security vulnerabilities identified in penetration testing. Ensure all deliverables meet internal quality standards and best practice guidelines. Continuously seek ways to improve development processes and tools to boost efficiency and output quality.
